Abstract

Employee ability and competence are crucial keys to the sustainability and growth of an organization, especially in the financial sector such as banking and insurance. This industry is required to deliver fast, accurate, and personalized services to customers while complying with complex and constantly evolving regulations. Therefore, employees must possess strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to market changes and technological advancements. This study adopts a qualitative approach using survey methods to gain a deep understanding of how human capital agility, job crafting, and workplace humor influence employee competence in the financial industry. This approach was chosen for its ability to capture the subjective experiences and personal perspectives of respondents regarding their day-to-day work dynamics. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that employee competence in the financial services industry is positively influenced by three key factors: human capital agility, job crafting, and workplace humor. These three elements significantly contribute to helping individuals meet the increasingly dynamic, complex, and competitive demands of their jobs.
