Abstract
This research aims to examine the digital transformation of Civil Servants in an effort to enhance the digital work culture and digital competencies of employees in relation to work performance at the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of North Sumatra Province. The approach used is a quantitative approach, with the population in this study serving as a sample of 100 employees. In this study, the data collection method used is the questionnaire method. The data analysis method used is path analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that (1) the presence of a digital-based work culture and digital-based employee competencies together have a significant positive impact on work performance at the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of North Sumatra Province; (2) the presence of an influence of a digital-based work culture on work performance at the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of North Sumatra Province; (3) the presence of an influence of digital-based employee competencies on work performance at the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy of North Sumatra Province. And (4) The influence of digital-based employee competencies on digital-based work culture, the significant relationship between digital-based employee competencies and digital-based work culture. The role of technology in shaping organizational culture and digital competence by employees is deemed necessary to improve the quality of public service, work efficiency, and work productivity.
