Risk Management, Micro Enterprises, Grocery ShopAbstract
This study aims to analyze risk management practices in micro-scale grocery shops that lack a formal financial recording system. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used, involving interviews and direct observations. The results indicate that grocery shops face various types of risks, including credit risk due to customer debts, liquidity risk caused by limited cash flow, operational risk, inventory risk, and supplier price risk. Among these, credit and liquidity risks are the most dominant and significantly impact business sustainability. Although formal risk management has not been implemented, owners manage risks informally based on experience, such as simple debt recording, direct collection, and control of purchase activities. This study concludes that informal risk management practices play a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of micro enterprises in the culinary sector of Karawang Regency.
