Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the product quality improvement strategies to maintain customer trust at PT Mitratani Dua Tujuh Jember, an export-oriented agribusiness company specializing in edamame. Using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by field observations, semi-structured interviews, documentation, and SWOT analysis, this research identifies key quality indicators and customer trust strategies. The findings indicate that product quality is highly influenced by raw material standards, consistency in production processes, product aesthetics, and distribution accuracy. However, limited engagement of contract farmers and the absence of integrated digital services remain challenges. The SWOT analysis places the company in an aggressive strategic position (Quadrant I), suggesting strong internal capacity and significant market opportunities. This study proposes the Integrated Trust-Quality Model (ITQM), emphasizing the synergy between technical quality, social engagement, and transparency as a holistic foundation for long-term customer trust. Product quality, therefore, should not only be seen as a function of production but also as an expression of corporate social responsibility aligned with global and local market demands.
