Firm Value, Environmental Disclosure, Green AccountingAbstract
The objective of this study is to examine the impact of environmental disclosures and green accounting on firm value in the metal and mineral mining industry in Indonesia for the period from 2021 to 2024. Corporate value is measured using the Tobin’s Q formula, green accounting is assessed using the ratio of CSR costs to net profit, and environmental disclosure is measured using GRI Standards. This study employs a quantitative methodology with a multiple regression approach, utilizing 32 secondary data points extracted from the annual and sustainability reports of each sample company through purposive sampling. Data processing was conducted using SPSS software, and the research results indicate that environmental disclosure has a significant negative impact on firm value. Meanwhile, green accounting does not show a significant influence on firm value, and environmental disclosure and green accounting have a significant synergistic effect on firm value. This suggests that investors have not yet fully regarded environmental disclosure and green accounting as key drivers of firm value. Therefore, this study recommends that metal and mineral mining companies further improve the quality and integrity of their environmental disclosures and green accounting practices to build a sustainable business.
