Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tenure and job promotion on employee performance at Bumdesma Bayung Lencir. The population of this study consisted of 31 Bumdesma Bayung Lencir employees. The sampling technique used was the questionnaire sampling method. The data analysis method applied was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that tenure has a significant effect on employee performance. Employees with longer tenure tend to have a better understanding of their duties and have high loyalty, which contributes to increased productivity. In addition, job promotion has also been shown to have a positive effect on employee performance. Employees who receive promotions feel appreciated and motivated to improve their performance. Transparent and fair promotions play a role in increasing employee job satisfaction and loyalty. The conclusion of this study is that both tenure and job promotion have a positive impact on employee performance at Bumdesma Bayung Lencir. Therefore, management is advised to pay attention to these two aspects in their human resource management strategy, in order to improve employee performance and achieve organizational goals effectively.
