This study aims to reflect on the implementation of co-curricular activities in fostering ecological spirituality at Saint Luke Catholic Senior High School (SMAK Santo Lukas) in East Olilit, Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province, Indonesia. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study examines the role of ecological education in developing students’ ecological awareness, attitudes, and behaviors that contribute meaningfully to environmental conservation within the school community. Ecological education is understood as a continuous educational process that nurtures the moral and spiritual responsibility of human beings to protect, preserve, and care for the environment as our common home. This ecological awareness affirms that consistent positive actions can generate constructive and sustainable impacts on environmental preservation. The implementation of ecological education may be realized through various contexts, including school co-curricular programs, family education, communication media, and catechetical activities. This study is expected to contribute to the development of pastoral educational praxis at Saint Luke Catholic Senior High School by deepening its foundation in the principles of ecological spirituality articulated by Pope Francis in the encyclical Laudato Si’.
