The purpose of this study was to analyze the direct and indirect effects of financial literacy, business tenure, and information technology, with business development as a mediating variable, on profitability. This study used time series data. The study population was all MSMEs receiving the Riau Islands Provincial Government's Zero Percent Margin Subsidy Program and actively operating businesses in Batam City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which is a technique for determining samples based on specific criteria in accordance with the research objectives. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample size of 101 respondents using the SEM PLS method. The results of this study indicate that financial literacy, business tenure, information technology, and business development have a positive and significant effect on profitability. Meanwhile, business development mediates the positive and significant influence of financial literacy, business tenure, and information technology on profitability.
