Abstract

This study aimed to analyses the resilience of Generation Z in the DKI Jakarta region in facing flood disasters based on human, natural, financial, physical, and social capital. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using non-probability and purposive sampling. A total of 585 responses were collected, while instrument and statistical analyses used 581 complete cases. The analyses included descriptive statistics, validity testing, reliability testing, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure, Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity, Measure of Sampling Adequacy, principal component analysis, boxplots, and a radar chart. The findings indicate that Generation Z resilience was generally in the high category. Physical capital was relatively the strongest dimension, whereas social capital had the lowest relative score. The main strengths were access to communication and information, while participation in disaster-preparedness groups, ownership of a dedicated emergency bag, and disaster emergency funds still required improvement. Resilience should therefore be strengthened through practical disaster education, community organization, financial preparedness, improved facilities, and environmental management.
