Lembaga Komunitas Informasi Teknologi Aceh (KITA) is fully committed to the principle that making scholarly research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All 11 journals hosted on our portal operate under an Immediate Gold Open Access model in alignment with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and DOAJ standards.

1. Immediate & Barrier-Free Access
  • No Embargo Period: Every peer-reviewed article published in a Lembaga KITA journal is immediately available online in full-text format (PDF/HTML) upon publication without any embargo period.
  • No Subscription or Paywall: Readers, researchers, and institutions worldwide can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles free of charge and without prior registration.
2. Creative Commons Licensing & Copyright
  • CC BY-SA 4.0 License: All articles across our portal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  • Permitted Reuse: Users are free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially), provided proper attribution is given to the original author(s) and journal, and derivative works are distributed under the same license.
  • Author Copyright: Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication.
3. Self-Archiving & Repository Policy (Green OA)
  • Unrestricted Archiving: Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their paper—including the Preprint (submitted version), Postprint (accepted author manuscript), and the Publisher's Version/PDF (Version of Record)—in institutional repositories, thematic repositories (e.g., arXiv, SSRN), or personal websites immediately upon publication.
  • Citation Requirement: Archived versions must include a complete bibliographic citation and an active link to the published article's Crossref DOI (10.35870) on the journal's official website.
4. Long-Term Digital Preservation & Interoperability
  • Archival Networks: To guarantee permanent availability of published content, Lembaga KITA utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, and national repository harvesting via GARUDA (BRIN/Kemdiktisaintek).
  • OAI-PMH Harvesting: All metadata is structured according to Dublin Core and Crossref standards and exposed via the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) for seamless global indexing.
