Penguatan Karakter Sejak Dini melalui Sosialisasi Anti Bullying di PKBM Ar-Rohim

This community service activity aims to enhance learners' understanding of bullying and strengthen positive character traits by instilling values such as empathy, tolerance, care, and mutual respect at the Ar-Rohim Community Learning Center (PKBM). This initiative was deemed essential because observations revealed instances of behavior bordering on mild bullying such as name-calling and teasing alongside a limited understanding among learners regarding the consequences of bullying. The activity employed an educational and participatory approach comprising planning and coordination, audiovisual presentations, material delivery, interactive sessions (Q&A and situational examples), and evaluation. Data were collected through observation and pre- and post-test results, then analyzed descriptively by comparing the percentage of correct answers before and after the activity. The results showed an increase in the learners' average understanding, rising from 74% in the pre-test to 96% in the post-test, a gain of 22 percentage points. The findings are interpreted within a character-strengthening perspective in which empathy, tolerance, and respect support safer peer interactions. These findings suggest that awareness-raising efforts combining audiovisual media with interactive activities were associated with improved learners' understanding of the forms, impacts, and prevention of bullying. The activity highlights the importance of sustained anti-bullying education and character building fostered through habituation and the active involvement of the learning center to create a safe, comfortable, and mutually respectful learning environment.
