Surveyors at the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Bali Province collect regional economic survey data and meet field constraints that can weaken the quality of those data. This community service paper documents one capacity-building session as a qualitative case of preventive internal control. The session was held on 24 July 2026, during the field-placement period. Thirty-six surveyors attended in person, and 40 surveyors joined by Zoom, as recorded on the attendance list. Self-evaluation forms were grouped into six cross-survey constraints and eight survey-specific problems, including incomplete answers, nonresponse, privacy objections, access limits, application or network failures, and problems that differ by survey type. Training combined general interviewing and probing with materials segmented by survey type and was read through the COSO internal control framework. Same-day observation on seven indicators showed more orderly readiness in interviewing, probing, and data checking. The paper reports those themes and that same-day observation. A statistical test and a follow-up measure of data quality were not part of the activity, so a lasting effect is not stated here.
