Open burning serves as an immediate solution for farmers dealing with post-harvest rice husk waste, though they often fail to realize it causes environmental air pollution through smoke and greenhouse gas emissions. Pulau Negara Village possesses abundant rice husk waste, yet this resource remains underutilized due to a lack of community knowledge regarding economically viable applications that could boost local incomes. This community service initiative aimed to enhance public understanding by raising awareness about the production of liquid smoke from rice husks. The outreach method involved presenting information to residents as an initial step in introducing relevant science and technology. The process included administering pre- and post-test questionnaires to 30 participating farmers, alongside presentations and discussions. The educational program demonstrated improved community understanding, evidenced by a 100% participation rate in the post-test and an average score of 87.3 points. Furthermore, an economic analysis indicated that producing liquid smoke from rice husks could generate a profit of Rp 268,000 per production cycle for the farmers.
